Pre-Inauguration in DC

Since I’m not attending the Presidential Inauguration on Friday, I thought I’d walk around and see the preparations in DC. I couldn’t ask for a better day! It was partly cloudy at 50s, and the sky was beautiful! Reporters have already started setting up their equipment. Giant flags decorated the front of the Capitol building, chairs are already set up, portable toilets lined up along the sides, security officers were visible all around, and  small groups of people, young and old, congregated discussing politics. There were some happy people, while others quietly observed and took selfies.

This kind of event happens only once every 4 years, and I’m glad I decided to visit DC, take pictures, and enjoy the day! If you’d like a print of the Capitol Building, you may click here:
